December 1, 2011 was World AIDS Day – a day when women, men and children of all walks around the world stand together to declare their ongoing commitment to ending the epidemic that is HIV/AIDS. The theme of World AIDS Day 2011 was an ambitions hard-line message: “Zero new HIV infections. Zero discrimination. Empowered by HIV/AIDS and Gender Inequality trainings, agricultural workshops and loan opportunities at her local epicenter, Mrs. Christine Magoola has become a highly successful small farmer, trainer, advocate and valuable contributing member in her family and community.
During 2011, THP-Uganda welcomed new leadership and developed new relationships with local government and like-minded organizations to improve epicenter and health clinic capacities.
